NEW WEEK Commencing 25 February
Every week I review my work on LinkedIn to help me and also give you an insight of what works and what doesnt and give you ideas for your own content.
I knew that this week would be a bit slower than last week after my 23K post on Wednesday last week. All my numbers are down. But that's the joy of social media. You have good and bad weeks, but the thing to remember is that it’s consistency and to keep showing up, which is what I do and I encourage everyone to do the same.
Views Last Week 1,773 viewers in the last 90 days. A drop of 21% 168 people viewed my profile

Views This Week 1,761 viewers in the last 90 days. Drop of 16% 152 people looked at my profile this week which is 16% down from last week.

Followers Last Week 6,910 - This Week - 6,937 I only added 27 extra followers this week. Slow week!

I didn’t have too many photo’s the previous week in my content, so while I had my daughter staying I asked her to take a few, including this one with the beer that she bought for me. This photo had a story, a smiley image and something intriguing in my hand, so I guess this is why it did well. My best-performing post this week.
Think about the stories that you can tell in a photo and then expand on this when you add your text.
What do you think of this post?

What do you do to celebrate the end of a great week?
Do you do anything different on a Friday evening?
This is me with my special bottle of beer that my daughter gave me on the launch of my book. It's a bottle of 'Proper Job' Ale. 💚 💛
But she added the words 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐀 to the label
so that it now reads "You Did a Proper Job."
I love my kids. ❤️ Funny how I still call them kids and they are both grown-ups 😂
So we made pasty's and shared the bottle of beer because she's come to stay. I'm set for a great weekend because along with her, we have our son-in-law and our gorgeous grandson staying.
I'm off to have fun with my family.
What are you doing this weekend?
Do you have any amendments to labels that people have given you?
Have a great weekend ❤️

SUNDAY 26 February 1,562 impressions
No image today because I wanted to make this a serious topic to see what people are doing on social media at the weekends. Some people love the weekends and others need a break. It’s a tough call eh? If we are around at the weekend you'll have a different audience. Because people may have a bit more time to engage. There are fewer corporate posts too.
Here’s my Sunday post
Do you use Social Media for work on a Sunday? 😱
Or do you spend your Sunday doing other stuff? After all, who wants to work at the weekend? 🤗
Some people say that the weekend is the best time to post, whereas others do not want to get involved.
We all know that for better engagement we need to respond to comments, so if you create content at the weekend you are then stuck to your account. 🤦♂️
What do you do?
What do you think?
Family and fun, or social media? Or can we do both?
Enjoy your Sunday 💚

When I was at the car show I knew that if I took some photo’s that I would have something worth posting. This photo sums up the fun the that we had and also enabled me to ask an engaging question. The question was a bit of a tease too which made it easier for people to get involved.
When you are out and about have a look around you and think of the photo opportunities.

Guess what my awesome daughter bought for me?
Sadly it wasn't the car 😂.
She bought me a coffee and an amazing Cherry Bakewell Flapjack.
Oh, and we got to see a load of incredible vehicles.
We went to Steamer Cafe on Sunday and saw this Porsche 911 along with Ferraris, Aston Martins, McLarens, a 1980s Classic 911 SC and some other amazing supercars.
Steamer cafe is the brainchild of Josh Roles and Dan Regan from Re:Fuel - Cars & Coffee.
It's this huge cafe that does wonderful cakes and breakfasts etc.
They have 4 Racing Simulators
And then every Sunday they encourage petrolheads to come and show off their vehicles.
This week was supercar Sunday, but they all kinds of wonderful events and as the events get lighter they have other events during the week.
What did your child buy you?
Do you have anything near you like the Steamer Cafe?
What's your favourite car? Are you a Porsche or a Ferrari kind of person?

Here is a document post to share all my free resources.

Do you give your services away?
Do you have free books or newsletters?
So many people give away amazing stuff. But how do people know about your free help?
What if you give it all away then you have nothing left to sell?
The bottom line is that if anyone was set on finding something out they can just use a search engine and hey presto it's all there.
So for me to give away all these resources isn't folly.
I like to help people. I want to inspire people to do 15 minutes a day on LinkedIn.
I want to see people creating their own content and getting business from this incredible platform.
Over the last couple of years, I've given away many different services and help so I thought that I'd put it all in one place and create this document.
Each page is the URL for that free resource. Yes DOT DAY or .day is a domain suffix.
LinkedIn is a great place, you just need to do a little bit each day.
What freebies have you got that could help us?

THURSDAY 2 March 1,447 impressions
I was out at a networking event on Wednesday so it’s always good to talk about what you get up to. Be wary not to tag everyone in though as too many tags have a detrimental effect on your reach, especially if the tagged people do not respond.
Have you been anywhere that you could talk about? Make sure you take the obligatory selfie with some top celebs!

Where are the good networking events? Are you doing more "In Real Life" Events now?
Do you get FOMO when you see these photos? 😂
Me too.
But yesterday it was my turn to enjoy some real-life networking.
I caught up with Vic and Matt but also had a great conversation with Sarah Knight who was pondering what other networking events are worth attending.
Do you know of any that you could share here?
We were all at the excellent State of the UK Economy talk presented by RBC Brewin Dolphin hosted by the lovely Rhi Bates which brought together the great and the good from the Exeter (ish) area.
God only knows how I got invited. Is it because I am in the same band as Alex McLachlan or perhaps my yellow shirt complimented the lanyards?
We had a great time and learnt a lot from Guy Foster about the state of the economy. Yes, I did understand what was being said! Thank you, Guy.
I also got to have a hug from Joanne Caine who saved my life many years ago. How lovely to catch up after so long.
What do you get from a great networking event and which ones should we attend next?
Don't be shy. Feel free to share links for your next event?

FRIDAY 3 March 1,097 impressions
I always do a gratitude post on a Friday so here’s this week’s content. I also have a few comments from people saying that they love these posts, so it’s helping other people too.
I try to add a photo from my week and as I spoke with Brad Burton this week it was a great opportunity not to use this image eh?
What are you grateful for?
Do you do a gratitude post?

What are you grateful for this week?
Have you got any good news to share or lovely people to thank?
Every week I like to reflect on the week and thank those people who have played a part in making it happen.
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
What are YOUR highlights for this week? How did it go?
This week has been so much fun and getting out on Wednesday was a real treat.
First up is James Ashford who called me out of the blue for a natter and a catch-up.
During the conversation, he asked how was doing and came up with some mindblowing suggestions and challenging questions. Thanks for the awesome input, James. You really opened my eyes 🙏 🤯
I also had a lovely chat with the money expert, Louisa Willcox. What a delightful lady. Louisa gave me some great advice for my pricing and kicked my butt a bit too. Sometimes we get stuck in our own heads eh? Thanks, Louisa, you really helped 🙏 ❤️
I have to give a big shout-out to Rhi Bates for the awesome networking event with RBC Brewin Dolphin on Wednesday. So great to get out and also learn a bit about our economy. Thank you, Rhi, great event. 🙏 🥳 Whens is the next one?
And finally.
Brad Burton reached out for a chat. We talked about the madness of social media and viral posts and tried to put the world to right.
Brad speaks a load of sense and it was great to learn a bit about the UK's Number 1 Motivational Speaker. He'll be at Accountex too which is cool as we have a stand there so I'll be able to get a front-row seat!!
Thank you for your time Brad Burton, we'll have to do it again. And we'll be live on my LinkedIn Show in May!! 🙏 👊
I've had another amazing week, but one with lots of questions. Thanks if you've been part of my world, you've really helped. I cannot thank you all, but you know who you are ❤️
Who are you going to shout out this week?
Come on, don't be shy
Share the LOVE ❤️

Another low week of views, engagement and activity. I’m going to start working on LinkedIn a little differently this week to see if things change. With the recent algorithm change, we are all being hit. So I need to pull the stops out and do something different to make up for the algorithm change.
I’m still being consistent and still creating content that people engage with, I need to work on my outreach a bit more. It’s not what I like doing, but it will help with engagement because every new connection is shown your content for a short while.
Here is the breakdown.
Last week I had 18,496 impressions and 605 engagements

This week I took another nosedive with my content. Last week was bolstered by my viral post 12,434 is below my usual average of 18k But when you look at my level of engagement, people are still fully engaged. So the ratio of engagement has actually increased!

It actually increased based on the headline figure from last week although the numbers say 7% down i had 50 more engagements.
Here are my best 5 posts this week. More photo’s this week

If you want a hand with your content please get in touch, and sign up for my weekly email that gives 5 new content ideas each week. I call it the Monday Nudge or why not check out my content book?
