How is your summer going? August already.

Is this messing with your LinkedIn activity? Are you taking a break, having a detox, or do you need some OOOOMPPHH to get back into your habit?

Don't worry, we all feel a little bit MEH this time of year. Another few weeks until we go away, or maybe we've been away and are fed up with everyone else dashing off for some sun

Some interesting points have come up this week around dwindling reach and algorithm changes, but keep plodding on, because you'll get there.

Afternoon Tea Week

Jam or Cream first? This post always gets great engagement, but what else can you talk about your Afternoon Tea? Yes, this is a thing, but do you take afternoon tea? What cafes can you recommend, do you have a great recipe for scones? What's your favourite cake or sandwich filling?

International Cat Day 8th August

Here's one for Christopher Tester. He's a LinkedIn influencer who often talks about his cat. Who else do you know is a well-known cat lover? Why do love your cat? Or cat's? Not many people only have just one, do they? My sister has four. Yes, four! Can you beat that? Does your cat follow you everywhere? Do you have any funny cat stories or maybe do a poll about pets I know there is a divide between dog and cat lovers.

Football Season Starts

It doesn't seem that long ago that the Premier Football Season finished and here we are, back again. Will you be going to a match? Where is your team? My team is now in the Championship . Maybe I should change my surname to Manchester. Do you get involved in grassroots football, do you help out with the other parents at your local club? Why do you love football and can you reflect this back to what you do in your business?

What hacks do you know?

I showed a friend how I use the keyboard shortcuts feature on my Mac and blew her away. It's something that I thought everyone knew. So what do you know that we don't? Do you do things on your mobile that we should all know? Do you have a trick you use on Google or MS Office? Or what about Chat GPT (See my latest hack for this HERE). Or maybe you have some money-saving hacks that you can share. You could even come up with a regular feature on LinkedIn as a weekly thing!!

What to do in the rain.

Sorry about this one, but be inventive. With the unpredictable weather this summer, I am sure some parents will love you for helping them. Our recent family wedding could have been ruined because it rained heavily most of the day and when it wasn't heavy, it drizzled. But we had planned for rain and in fact, it made the day. Share your top ideas for rainy days or why not create a poll to see what other people do?
