Here we are in the last week before Christmas.
How are you doing? What a year it has been eh?
What are your highlights? Have you grown your LinkedIn knowledge? Have you grown your LinkedIn network?
Please note that you do not need to be on LinkedIn over Christmas. See my thoughts in my popular post this week.In the psot I talk about having a break and the comments that have some back agree that it is more important to be present with your loved ones and not LinkedIn!
I will be back next week with some more ideas for you and then throughout 2023 because I want you to be confident to create your own content.
If you are thinking about next year already but not sure about planning, why not join us tomorrow at 12:30 for a LinkedIn Live Vision Board Special with Lisa Bailey-Brown? She'll be sharing with us how her vision board has helped her to fulfil her dreams in 2022. More details here
Have a fantastic festive break and rest assured I'll be here every Monday during 2023
all the best
Ashley
Even if people are not as busy on Social Media we can still add our outlook
Like I often say, content is everywhere and with so much going on you should find it easier to come up with ideas. Lots of photo's and top tips abound I reckon.
If you are stuck, then here are 5 more ideas to give you a nudge.
Only 1% of LinkedIn users are creating content, so make sure you are one of those 1 percent!
The Shortest Day Idea number 1 is my favourite day of the year. The 21st of December. Why? Because it is the shortest day and therefore the nights start drawing out. I can dream of longer sunnier days on my paddle board! There's loads of things that you can write about there. Do you do, do you go to Stonehenge to celebrate there? Do you look forward to the longer nights? Do you like the winter? Do you like staying in? Roaring log fires and great TV without feeling guilty? Last Minute Gifts Idea number two this week is designed to help me with my present ideas. 😂. Do you leave it to the last minute? Do your customers leave what they do with you to the last minute? See what I did there? What are you for last-minute gifts? Where do we get your last-minute gifts from? What do we do? Is it just gonna be a box of chocolates from the local petrol station? Why not share your top tips for us blokes that are pretty useless, why don't you share that this week on LinkedIn? Christmas TV Number three is Christmas TV. Now, I don't know about you, but many, many families buy a copy of the Radio Times and start circling all the different things we're gonna watch, but it's changed an awful lot, hasn't it? There are so many channels nowadays, what with streaming services and goodness knows what else, so what are you looking forward to watching over Christmas? What about sharing the best Christmas TV programs you've ever watched? What are your favourite Christmas films? There are loads and loads and loads of things that we can talk about on this topic! And this year, first time ever in my lifetime, the Queen isn't doing the speech. It's the king. So will you be watching that? Christmas Dinner Hacks and Tips Idea number four this week is Christmas dinner hacks and tips. What sort of things do you do? Are you a super chef in the kitchen? What are your go-to specials that you rely on each year for a stress-free kitchen? Do you cook things the day before? Do you cook things the week before? Have you already put your sprouts on? Do you bother with a Christmas pudding? Do you have a load of people around? What sort of tips could you share with us to make life easier for us on the big day? BBC Sports Personality of the year And finally, it is the BBC Sports Personality of the Year this week. On 20 December the BBC will announce the shortlist and then you can vote on the live show on the 21st. It looks like the favourite is e Beth Mead, Here are the current odds Ben Stokes - 25/1 Ronnie O'Sullivan - 33/1 Natasha Jonas - 33/1 Jessica Gadirova - 50/1 Leon Edwards - 50/1 Tyson Fury - 66/1 Rory McIlroy - 80/1 Adam Peaty - 80/1 Ellen White - 80/1 Max Burgin - 80/1 But what sort of things could you be writing about on this topic? Could you come up with a poll of who you think should win? Could you do an alternative one? Could you talk about the great sporting moments of 2022? Let's face it, there have been quite a few this year, especially that final yesterday. These are my ideas this year and don't forget Hanukkah too. Happy Hanukkah if you love and celebrate this incredible festival. Good luck this week. I am here to help so if you have any questions please drop them on the Private Alumni Group pages or send me a DM on LinkedIn. Don't forget my video explaining all of the above. 🎥 WATCH the video here. 🎥 I'll be back on 26 December
