How do I know if my Content Performs on LinkedIn

NEW WEEK Commencing 21 January
I create content every day on LinkedIn and every Saturday I review my performance and share the results and my thoughts for the week.
This helps me to see what works and what doesn't and also builds into a library of posts that I can share with my clients in the future and is also useable for repurposing if something happens.

Views Last Week 1,813 viewers in the last 90 days
Views This Week 1,831 viewers in the last 90 days. But this week a dip of 12%. I am still above my average,m but the drop is a hangover from my Challenge week two weeks ago when I had over 60 people on my free daily sessions

Every week I create a video and newsletter with five content ideas for LinkedIn and when I got to today I couldn’t think what to write, but looking at my email I realised it was Hug Day, so I had a great idea and shared a photo of my mate and I have a hug at my book launch.
I also had a great photo to illustrate this too.
Here’s the post

Did you know that today is National Hugging Day?
Someone must have known that I have missed the hugs.
I love a good hug.
Even a bad hug is still good. So much nicer than shaking hands or bumping elbows.
With all the social distancing and anxiety over getting close, it's nice to get a hug again eh?
We went out with family last night to celebrate Mum's birthday and we still asked family members if we are hugging.
It's nice to ask though eh?
I've always hugged. Probably because I have been in a lot of theatre productions and I'm a bit of a luvvie, or maybe it's just nice to hug.
Why do you hug?
So why did I pick this photo of me and Matt Young hugging?
Matt is a top bloke and the work that he is doing to get men talking will ultimately mean more men hugging.
And that's a good thing in my book.
What do you think?
Do you have any tips for hugging?
Who gives you the best hugs?
Come on, share the hug and love today 🤗 ❤️

I sing in a band and play a little guitar. The previous night we had a gig, so I thought I’d share some personal fun that I have and it went down well. LinkedIn doesn’t just have to be about work. I had a lot of comments from people who never knew that I was a rock god and those who love live music like me more now I guess. What do you think?
Do you have any hidden talents?

What is your favourite Banging Tune?
An anthem that you sing out loud to?
Last night we had a gig with our band in a PACKED pub in Lyme Regis.
So much fun.
We did loads of singalong favourites. Wonderwall, Angels, What's Up, Yellow, The One I love and many others.
But what if we want to add some more?
If you were at the gig last night and you wanted to sing your heart out, what song would have got you going?
What should we bring into our set list?
Come on, I know you wanna sing!!
The video is from the gig we did last week.
Happy Sunday

Doing a weekly video is such an easy way to create regular content. I share my 5 ideas for content every Monday. What could you share once a week?
By doing video you give people a real connection to get to know you. They then get to like you and eventually will trust you.

Here are my five ideas for this week
Do you struggle with what to write on LinkedIn?
Don't worry, I have 5 suggestions to help you.
Every week I produce a newsletter and a video to share some ideas to get more people than just the current 1% of LinkedIn users creating content.
Because I have been creating content for many years, and every day since March 2021 I get a steady stream of people who want to work with me.
Why not start your content path now and start getting people seeking you out rather than you chasing them?
In the video, I go into greater detail of what to write about.
My Five Ideas this week are
💚 Chinese New Year
💛 Truth or Lie
💚 Burns Night
💛 European Rugby
💚 2023 - Progress so far
Have a fantastic week and remember, you do NOT need to create content every day, just once a week is more than 99% of LinkedIn users.
Have fun and if you have any other suggestions, please let me know!!

Do you ever watch a movie and think OMG? If you do then why not write about it? Share what you got out of it and even use it to share other things going on around you.
This happened this week when we watched the number one Netflix Movie “Bank of Dave” A true-ish story of how one guy, Dave Fishwick set up a bank for Burnley and all the issues he had with the FSA and the Bank of England.
Such a great story.
Here’s my post

Have you ever hit a roadblock in your business?
Have been told that you cannot do something?
Did you let it stop you, or did it give you more determination to just jolly well go and do it?
Dave Fishwick didn't let the Bank of England stop him from setting up a bank. He was told at every corner that it could not be done.
But Dave doesn't give up and you can see the True(ish) story in the fantastic new movie on Netflix.
Bank of Dave.
It's a fantastic feel-good movie with a great cast and what's more it's based on true events.
True events where a hardworking businessman (DAVE) is fed up with the way that the banks waste money and give big bonuses rather than lending small businesses much needed cash to help them grow.
Dave's philosophy is simple.
Give savers a good rate of interest and then lend this to LOCAL businesses to help grow the Burnley economy.
💚 No fancy pants premises
💛 No stupid sums spent on marketing
💚 No huge salaries
💛 No ridiculous bonuses
💚 AND ALL profiles going back to local good causes.
BRILLIANT
But the banks don't like it. You'll find out what happens in the movie.
Best movie this year!!
Have you seen it? What do you think?
What roadblocks have you overcome like Dave?

I had a great guest on my live show so I wanted to make the show a success so I went with a story around the show.
I used questions to grab people's attention and also some Curly Wurlys. When you create an event on LinkedIn it is a great way to get people to come to your event, but they do not do that well so by having another post around it you can get more people to your event.

Have you ever been on a list?
Are you on a list? The best this or the highest that?
You know the thing "Top 30 under 30". "Best Female Leader"
Or what about the "LinkedIn Top 100 Followers" Don't worry I am not on any either 😂
I think they are fun and give us something to talk about. Or even improve what we do to get into these lists.
On my Live LinkedIn Show today I will be talking to Dermot Hamblin who has been producing the LinkedIn Top 100 Followers for a number of months.
It is a list from the world of Accountants & Bookkeepers and has some fantastic names there. 🥳
People who can help you, people who are well connected. And people who are doing some great things on LinkedIn.
I think this particular list is encouraging and inspiring our Accountants & Bookkeepers to get more from LinkedIn and the by-product is more connections, leads and clients.
Plus Dermot gives away Curly Wurlies to winners !! Who doesn't love a Curly Wurly? 💚
What lists do you like to see and do they inspire you in particular areas? Are you on any?
Be great to hear your comments.

OMG I went to a really awesome networking event last night, but I also have two today. So by using some wording around the aspect of networking, I was able to grain great traction on this post to not only thank the hosts of the previous evening, but I was also able to drum up interest for the other two events.
And it worked. My own event was well attended and in the evening I was a guest speaker and that was great fun too.
It’s all a case of thinking longer term with your content.
Do you do this?

How many In Real Life events have you been to this year?
I did one last night and then I've got two today, so a busy week for me. Why are these events like buses?
These photos were taken at the shiny new Marriot Courtyard hotel by Exter Chiefs at a fantastic networking event organised by Theresa Benson of Adopstar Ltd.
And obviously her awesome team including Javier Reyeros
What a truly incredible night. Beer, awesome canapes and some lovely guests. I had a few hugs and met some new people and I have a plan for Sunday 5 February to see some Porsches.
But the crowing glory was the awesome speakers.
Kicked off (excuse the pun) by the delightful Richard Capstick. He was so funny and shared some great stories. This was his first speaking engagement, but keep an eye out for this guy!!
AND THEN
Some guy came into the audience on some sort of hovver board thingy and told us all about AI, ChatGPT, the future of technology and had us transfixed with his stories.
The guy is Jason Bradbury from the gadget show and he was brilliant too.
If Carlsberg did networking meetings.....
Well done Theresa and your team. Such a stonking event. When's the next one and how do I ensure I get an invite?
The hugs were from Vic Williams, Matt Young and the lovely Karen Meadows.
I'm off to the Sidmouth LinkedIn Local so more hugs this morning too and then off to Bridport this evening to talk about LinkedIn.
What events have stood out for you this year?
And can you get me an invite to the next one please?

FRIDAY 27 January 2,397 impressions
It’s Friday, so that means my gratitude post. It’s great to share gratitude and practice it. We are quick to complain, but when we stop and think about all the great things that have happened we can look back with a smile. Even a piece of toast falling on the floor jam-side up should be celebrated.
The other benefit is that you can see just how much you got us to in the week. I’ve had a cracking week, but was super tired by Friday!
Here’s this weeks gratitude.

What are you grateful for this week?
It's my Gratitude Post.
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
Did you get green lights all the way to the office? Did you get into the shower first?
We don't have to celebrate big things to feel gratitude. When you practice gratitude you feel happier, less stressed and more content.
Well, I do 😁
Who or what has helped you to feel grateful?
Here are a few people I'd like to shout out.
First off Patrick Twitchett and Melvyn Manning for having me on their podcast. If you want some LinkedIn tips go and have a listen. The link is in the comments. Thank you, guys, great fun 🙏
Special mention to Natalie Tipper and Ben Tyler from Payroll Sorted. We have some exciting plans. Keep an eye out. More to come. Is it going to be epic eh guys? Thank you 🙏
On Wednesday I went to an awesome networking event organised by Theresa Benson at Adopstar Ltd and fought up with friends (Javier Reyeros) and met some lovely new people too including Jason Bradbury. If Carlsberg did networking.... Thank you, Theresa 🙏
Thank you to Valerie Marcelli at Connect Bridport for inviting me to talk about LinkedIn at their 1st-anniversary meeting last night in Bridport. Lovely to meet everyone. Thank you, Valerie 🙏
What about ChatGPT? Well, big thanks to Nadin Thomson for her awesome demo of this bit of kit. This was included in my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop which has made it the most packed course to date.
Thank you, Nadin and thanks to all the other students who have grown this week. 🥳 🙏
What a cracking week. What have you been up to? Whom are you going shout out?
Go on, have a go. What's the best that can happen?
Have a fantastic weekend
