My Weekly Blog: What Do I Do with Content Each Week?
NEW WEEK Commencing 23 September
Every Saturday I like to look at my content for the week. I sit down and I review every single post that I did for the week, and because I do a post every single day, that's seven posts for me to review.
This blog will explain why and how I came to creating that content. I want to make sure that I am giving good value and that my content works and it helps people. I want it to make you think and that you are inspired to create your own content and start building your own network.
And I also share all of my analytics. So that you too can see what actually works and what doesn't and hopefully give you a little guidance.
Views;
Previous Week An awesome week, 2,107 Profile Views but not surprising as I was out in front of people and therefore the curiosity got them to look at my profile. Up a stonking 52% with 311 people looking at my profile in just one week!!

Views This Week My numbers this week have dropped a bit with 248 people viewing my profile this week. 2,172 people have viewed my profile in the last 90 days, but the graph says down 23% this week. Next week I have two conferences, so I am expecting a bit of an uptick!

Followers
In the previous Week
8,419 which is nearly 3% up on last week and another 156 new followers this week. How awesome is that?
This Week - 8,463 only 44 new followers this week, but still an increase! And this is organic!
749 Search appearances for the previous week and 975 searches this week. Up again, by quite a large margin

Hashtag Follows Last Week 174
Hashtag Follows This Week 174 no change. Is this because I stopped encouraging people to follow me?
SATURDAY 23 September 3,909 impressions
On Saturday I was doing a talk at a hotel. I wanted to talk about the talk and what I'd be doing but rather than just talk about it. I asked a the question what gets you smiling like this first thing. I used a selfie where I had a great big smile on my face and I shared that smile in my post.
You do not have to have the headline of the content to be right at the front. It’s all about getting engagement.

What gets you smiling like this first thing? ☀️
Do you have a lie in, 4 cups of coffee, a jump in an ice bath or a brisk autumn walk?
I'll be training 65 accountants at the AAT Branch Event this morning, so I need to be awake and alert.
A good brisk walk has set me up. It's glorious outside and the time gave me space to think about the training and.....
Whilst walking I had a couple of off the wall ideas, so if you're in the room today, hold on tight!!
Wish me luck! 🍀
How do you get motivated first thing?
What's your thing?

SUNDAY 24 September 2,969 impressions
On Sunday, I talked about the day that I had the day before at the talk for the AAT. My post today reflected the fact that I was outside of my comfort zone.
I normally do a session for 15 minutes over 5 days, but the session I did at the AAT meant that I delivered 2 hours of content. It was a great day and I wanted to celebrate that fact,.

Have you ever JUMPED out of your comfort zone? (not a step, a jump)
Have you ever attempted something so radically different to what you normally deliver?
OMG, I took one GIANT LEAP yesterday. HUGE.
I normally deliver my LinkedIn Daily Habit Workshop over 5 days in one week for just 15 minutes a day. Like this.....
💚 Delivered LIVE over Zoom
💛 Short Sharp Sessions
💚 Capped to 15 People
💛 Daily Homework
💚 High Energy
💛 Focussed
But yesterday I delivered the same training for 135 minutes in one room LIVE with 65 super Accountants at the AAT Branch Event in Warwick.
BOOM!!!
What an incredible day.
So much fun. 🥳
And I am still buzzing now.
Thank you to EVERYONE in the room for being so engaged and asking brilliant questions. Thank you to the organising committee for making me so welcome and making it work. (You know who you are)
I created a workbook full of help and support and I wandered (bounced) around the room to help everyone to get more from LinkedIn.
I also got a chance to sit down and chat with a few AAT Members at meal times and sign a few books.
I'm waiting on the feedback forms, but if people had as much fun as I did, then I think it was a success.
Look at all those smiley faces 😁
What have you done recently that was out of your comfort zone?

Previous Week
Down this week with 1,161 impressions. Reactions are up a bit at 23 reactions, but comments have dropped by three 27 and there’s 0 repost.
Views of this video are down because it wasn’t in an exciting place with 317 views. I was also down by over 60 viewers at 293. Only 112 minutes watched this week and down a bit too.
This Week
Impressions are up by 100% this week at 2,302. Reactions are almost doubled too at 42 reactions. Comments have increased too at 38. SOme great engagement this week, but then again I had a few people in the room watching me make the video.
Because of the engagement views of this video are up by more than 200 at 576 views and a similar increased for viewers at 512. Twice as many minutes were watched too at 200 minutes watched.
It’s all about making the content different.

TUESDAY 26 September 1,560 impressions
On Tuesday, I had my workshop with Becky Craven, but rather than talk about the workshop, I mixed it up. I had a photograph of the lemon drizzle cake that I'd had made for the event, so I started the post about cake. Everyone loves cake, everyone's got an opinion, and this post brought became engaging.
What’s your favourite cake?

Is the Cake best bit of a networking/workshop/training event? 🍰
Or the people, the content or the venue? What do you rate highly when deciding to enrol or sign up for an event?
It has to be the Lemon Drizzle Cake surely? 😂
This is the Lemon Drizzle cake that our delegates will be enjoying later at The Hall Exeter for our very first Social Media Workshop.
Months in planing, hours canvassed, hours of content created and some rather posh workbooks too.
I cannot wait
I'm excited and nervous
But I have my Business Buddy with me in the form of Becky Craven so there is no reason to be nervous.
We are going to have fun today because we have been planning.
💚 Our workbook is packed with help and information
💛 We have some breakout sessions planned
💚 We'll be sharing loads of tips and tricks
💛 And we have Lemon Drizzle Cake
Wish us luck and let me know what is the most important thing for you when deciding on what to book?
Oh, and do you like Lemon Drizzle?

WEDNESDAY 27 September 2,320 impressions
On Wednesday, I asked if you find it tough running a business in the South West. This was because I was actually on the local radio station and that was the thing that we were talking about that morning. I also shared a few reasons why we may be struggling in the South West using my coloured hearts for bullet points.
To make it more engaging I created a poll too. Don’t forget when you create a poll to include a catch all option with OTHER.

Do you find it tough running your business in the South West?
Do we have it a little harder being down here with fewer resources, poorer transport links and higher housing costs?
Running a business in the South West is awesome because it's an amazing place to live, but being so far from the big cities do we struggle?
What do you think? Is your business thriving?
Here's some things that can affect our business
💚 Socioeconomic Factors
💛 Employment Pool
💚 Public Transport
💛 Rural Isolation
💚 Road Network
💛 Broadband
What other factors make it more difficult in the South West?
I'll be a guest on the David FitzGerald show on BBC Radio Devon today from 11:00am talking about this topic, so your thoughts, ideas and opinions will make our discussion more engaging.
I look forward to your thoughts and inspiring stories of how we are making a success of our South West Businesses.

THURSDAY 28 September 3,163 impressions
On Thursday, I celebrated the fact that we had an amazing workshop on Tuesday. I used a few photos from the event, including one of Becky and myself looking absolutely positive and radiant before we started. I started the post off with the question, “do you ever have this feeling?”
By starting with a question you are helping the reader to decide if they wish to answer.

We did it!! 🥳 🥳 Do you ever have this feeling?
You know the one, when you put everything in for something new and you hope it all works out?
This was me and Becky Craven this week.
And all the build-up before
💚 4 Months for all the Planning,
💛 3 Months of Running Around
💚 2 Months of Flyer Posting
💛 1 Month of Panic
But it all worked out and the feedback is great.
What do you do when you have an idea to run a workshop with a friend to help small business owners do more on social media?
You jolly well go and set it up.
💚 Thinking about won't get it done
💛 Talking about won't get it done
💚 Planning it won't get it done
Just go for it
What's the best that could happen?
And we're doing it all again this morning with another LinkedIn™️ Local here in Sidmouth.
What have you done recently that was worth all the heartache?

FRIDAY 29 September 3,163 impressions
On Friday, it's my gratitude day. My Friday thanks. So every single week, I share my gratitude and because I've had such an amazing week and taken such a lot of photos, my collage this week was full.

What are you grateful for today? Do you have anything that you can share?
Who has helped you, inspired you or done something outstanding to make your week something to celebrate?
Every Friday I share why I am grateful
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
By focusing on the good things we are training our brain to look for the good rather than focus on the negative
This week has been no exception.
Big thanks to the AAT for inviting me to be their speaker at their event on Saturday where I trained 65 lovely accountants on how to get started and motivated on LinkedIn™️. Too many to mention, but Thank you to EVERYONE for making me feel so welcome. 🙏 ❤️
Becky Craven gets another mention. Our Social Media Workshop was EPIC. Months of planning paid off big time and I couldn't have done it without the help, support and guidance from this wonderful lady. Thanks Becky ❤️ 🙏
Yesterday saw another LinkedIn™️ Local and loads of lovely people turned up, including some lovely NEW people. Special thanks as ever to Odessa Sherreard for being part of this fun networking event. Thank you everyone for coming 🙏 ❤️
Finally, Thank you Phil Hobden for the cakes. You can just make them out in the photo collage. It's lovely to get recognition and they go perfectly with my coffee. Any time Phil, you know I love talking about LinkedIn™️. 🙏 ❤️
Who are you going to give a shout-out to?
What are you grateful for?

What are my thoughts on this week?
A better week, but with some obvious mistakes on the engagement. But What am I doing this for? I want to help people, people like Peter and my students with their workshop learning, so at the end of the day is it really about the numbers? My thinking is that with consistency there is something for everybody and not everybody is going to comment or engage with everything that I do.
Keep mixing it up and staying in your lane. But keep reviewing what you do.
There were not any Document posts from me this week.
What are you doing to mix things up and keep interesting?
Here is the breakdown.

Previous week
Last week has increased to 19,224 but the chart says a drop by 8% Not sure how this works. My Sunday post about the wedding was a popular post. My engagement bounced back by 7% to 659.
With the polls and the questions that I asked this week I was going to get better engagement so this is what we need to do more. Make it easy for people to engage!

This week
This week has seen a huge increase in impressions to 22,144. However, the chart says a drop by 1% My engagement says it’s also lower by 8% but the numbers show different at an impressive 824.
Because I was busy with training this week many people were checking out my content. That always helps.
Here are my five best-performing posts this week.
