SATURDAY 6 August 2,284 impressions
I had the most busiest week ever so did this post as I was shattered when i got up on the Saturday. I wanted to share how, even after being totally worn out, we can still feel happy, but it is important to listen to your body and just relax and have a break.
I thought this was a real positive post, but I got trolled.
It really upset me.
I know it shouldn't, but some people just get to you and I guess that’s why they do it.
Simple remedy. Utilise the BLOCK feature. This person was a 2nd connection so not a friend or a connections and now that they are blocked I’ll never have to see them again.
And I’ve moved on.
When you create content, you are opening yourself up for a public bashing, but this was the first one, so considering that I cam creating a dozen posts per week. I have been doing this for the last 14 months so that’s around 840 posts and one trolled comment. The ratio is so small I’ll jsut move on.
Here’s that ‘controversial’ post!

Do you ever feel like this?
Shattered, but happy?
How was your week?
Do you ever look back on your week and wonder how you got through it?
My weekend is not scheduled for anything, so I will be doing proper RnR and I'll be fighting fit and bouncy for Monday.
We do not have to work every day and we can have a break when we need it. You will find me on the beach or in the garden this weekend and I hope that you have a good weekend too.

SUNDAY 7 August 82 event visits
I wanted to give this event a bit more gravitas so had it as a post but looking back now it doesn’t have the same analytics attributed to it so I cannot really work out how this did as a post rather than the event.
It was a great event though and I loved chatting with Becky.
Here’s the post. I’m going to do the same again today with Fran who is my guest next Wednesday. I will try to see the analytics before the show goes live.

w are you at taking photographs? Have you mastered using your camera phone, or are they just snaps?
If you are like me, the phone is out all the time capturing your lunch, your family & friends and the great views and sunsets that we are used to seeing.
But have you ever thought about how to make your photos look better? Maybe even better than purchasing a big expensive camera?
My guest this week, Becky Craven, is not only an awesome photographer, but she has developed a brilliant training course that helps all of us to take better photos just using our phones.
Not only that she is a bit of a whizz on Instagram so this week I am going to have plenty to talk about eh?
If you want to find out more about Instagram or take better photos, then you need to make sure you are around on Tuesday
Becky will be on my LinkedIn Live Show next week as my latest guest for show number 55.
Every Tuesday at 12:30 pm BST I'll be having a chat with a LinkedIn personality to find out about them, what they do and why they love this incredible platform. We’ll also be chatting about her Instagram and top tips for our phones!
All this in 15 minutes with a song thrown in too!
LinkedIn Live Show Number 54 is with Becky Craven
Join me to find out more!
Hit the remind me button to make sure you don't miss this LinkedIn Live Event
If you have some great photo's to share today, let's have a look and maybe Becky can give some tips when she's on the show!
Have a fantastic Sunday

I keep seeing About sections telling people how brilliant they are, do we really care? So I did a post on my thoughts about this feature on LinkedIn.
I was hoping for more interaction as it is a helpful type post. I guess we are all on holiday and I’ve noticed this with y content this week. Musch lower, but the weather has been extreme in the UK and we are all melting!
Here’s the post
Do you have the ABOUT section on your LinkedIn Profile?
Who is it about?
Is it about YOU or ME?
Do you really want to read about someone who is brilliant?
Or maybe they are accredited, awesome, demonstrate great sales skills, are driven by the desire to succeed, or are the best in their field?
Surely you'd rather read about someone who has YOUR back, that they understand YOUR problems and they are trying to help?
Or do I have it all wrong?
Your about section is about you, but if you start off saying how wonderful you are will this put people off? Think about how you read a profile and maybe have a rethink of your strategy.
For me, it's all about helping people and collaborating.
What are you all about?
(If you do not have the about section switched on you can do this from your profile by hitting the Add Profile Section just underneath your banner on the top part of your profile, shout if you need a hand)

My post today was about the recommendation feature on LinkedIn and some suggestions. Maybe I should have included my most recent one as an image.
I tagged a couple of people whom I made a recommendation for too.
Here’s the post
Do you give testimonials or recommendations?
Have you received them?
Did you know that within your LinkedIn profile there is a feature to allow people to recommend your work? Just go to your profile and in the box called Add Profile Section you can turn it on. (Shout me if you need a hand)
Recommendations are important as we need to know who is good at what and how we can work with them. If someone has a few good reviews we're more likely to work with them eh?
I've just written a couple for the lovely Liz Dalby for reviewing my Monday Nudge Newsletter and also John Espirian because he did the same too.
Funny how these things happen, two in one week!
A recommendation is a lovely way to say thank you and who knows your few words can help someone to book the person whom you recommended.
Whom would you like to recommend today?

I heard a great podcast this week with an opportunity to enter a competition to win some 1:1 coaching. The task was to tag on Instagram, but I went one better and did a full post on LinkedIn.
But rather than a blatant pick me type post, I wrapped it around the concept of keep going and doing a little bit every day.
Rachael has been doing her podcast for a whole year now. Podcasts tale a while to get established. I have laods of great engagement on this post and it gets people thinking about their actions too.
Here’s the post (Multi Image Post) and I added a screenshot and a selfie of my listening to the podcast.

Do you put things off because it seems too difficult?
Or do you just do it one step at a time?
I was listening to the wonderful podcast by Rachael Howourth yesterday and she was just buzzing.
She was buzzing because it was the 52nd edition of her podcast which she started 12 months ago. This is a huge achievement as most podcasters give up after their 9th show!
Rachael is consistent and she keeps going. Just one step (show) at a time. And she has built a great business around what she does.
Now that she is in her second year she has hinted that she may be having guests on her show. I wonder what I need to do to be her first such guest 😂
So if you are having a bit of a wobble, take a leaf out of Rachael's book and keep going.
I've said many a time and keep banging the drum.
It's all about CONSISTENCY!
What do you do consistently then?

FRIDAY 12 August 2,121 impressions
I have spent a few hours making a mud kitchen for my grandson adn this week we gave it to him early for his birthday. He loves it. I wanted to share this because I feel that DIY is just like running a business and front he comments it seems people agree.
When you write things as content if you talk about the reasons behind it you can create content about anything. You just need to think a little bit outside the box.
I got some lovely comments about htis post and also some enquiries about commissions!
Heres the post and the photo. My daughter is not keen on her son being on social media, but a back view is more than acceptable. What do you think?

Do you do DIY? (Do It Yourself)
I have just given my grandson his 2nd birthday present. It's a mud kitchen built out of reclaimed pallets and an up-cycled sink from the local dump.
Here in the UK, DIY is big business and, for me, great fun. It gives me a sense of achievement and when your creations get this reaction, great pride too.
Over the years I've got involved in all kinds of projects such as
✅ Rewiring an old house
✅ Installing central heating
✅ Creating an En Suite Shower room
✅ New kitchens
✅ Building a conservatory
None of these things I could do before I started the project, but by the end, I'd learned a ton of stuff. The most important thing that I learned though was that you can do whatever you set your mind to.
Reflecting today, as I write this, I guess it's no surprise that this has given me the belief and confidence that I can set up and run my own business.
What DIY projects have you accomplished and how has this helped you with running your business?
