NEW WEEK Commencing 17 June
This is my weekly blog that shares my content from the previous week with my ideas and how they have performed.
I share my analytics, too, so that you can see what I get up to and maybe use my information as some sort of benchmark.
This week I have been away, but because I am writing this blog, I didn’t have a gap in the content, so I scheduled some posts to go out whilst I was away.
That’s a great idea, but the value is in the engagement, and as I was without the internet, I was not able to engage with the comments that came. So this week, I have had a huge hit on everything across LinkedIn.
I have also lost some followers. I have written about it in this post on LinkedIn.
Here are my thoughts and numbers for this week.
Views Last Week 2,289 - that was a staggering increase of 37% and a massive 250 people looking that week!!

Views This Week 2,209 - this isn’t much of a decrease, but actually, this week is a drop of 51%, with only 135 people looking this week!!

470 Search appearances for the previous week! 533 searches this week which is increasing.

Followers
Last Week 7,851, which means that I gained 65 on the previous week
This Week - 7,648 which means that I lost 211 followers this week. LinkedIn has had a purge on hibernated accounts.

I had my daughter and grandson staying this week as my son-in-law was away working, so we spent the day on the beach after my meetings were cancelled. How lucky am I that I can just drop everything and make my mind up to what I do?
Do you have this luxury?
I think that if we celebrate these little moments, we inspire other people to have a go too. You may not be able to take the day off, but how about finishing a little early?
My daughter doesn't like sharing photos of this little man, so she took this image so that I could share it!! Look at his gorgeous curls ❤️
Here’s my post

What do you do when your meetings get cancelled?
Does this happen to you? You get ready for a meeting, you plan, you have ideas and then, last minute they cancel?
It never worries me.
The majority of my meetings are online, so I can always find something else to do. And I did.....
But we are busy and it's rude I hear you shouting.......
Maybe so, but we don't know what's going on in someone else's world do we?
I'm very flexible and all of these meetings have been moved, so everyone is happy.
And more importantly I got time to spend on the beach with my grandson, daughter and wife. Glorious sunshine, nothing else to do. It was the perfect opportunity for me to unwind and relax after a busy trip to London.
I'm on the train again to London for another speaking gig, so to kick back yesterday and spend some time on my paddleboard was more than welcome.
What do you do when your clients bail on you?
Do you get to the beach, or do you panic?
Whatever you do, have a fantastic weekend

As it was Father's Day, I thought that I would reflect on a poignant moment for me and my mate. I didn’t use an image and didn't expect too much front the content, but it resonated as the engagement was good.
If you have had issues like this in your life, why not share them too? I never gave too much away, but I did share how it made me feel and how I would be feeling on the anniversary of that phone call.
What do you think? Here’s the post. No images today.
Have you had bad news on Father's Day?
Three years ago, a very special friend phoned me on Father's Day with some really sad news.
It changed my life.
It changed their lives too.
It has a really happy ending, and the story is great, but the initial call happened on Father's Day, and it's one of those calls that I'll never forget.
And every Father's Day, I think of that call.
And I think of my dad, and all the other dads out there, doing their best.
If you are doing your best that is all that we can ask eh?
On this Father's Day tell people how much they mean to you.
💚 Share the love
💛 Be grateful for what you have
💚 Be present
Happy Father's Day
I hope it's a special one.

As you have probably already established, I create a video every Monday. This means that all week I am thinking about content ideas, but it does mean that on Mondays, I do not need to think of what to write about.

What will you be creating on LinkedIn this week?
Here are five more ideas to help you to be creative or just inspire you to have a go.
Every Monday I send an email to my wonderful subscribers and also create a video to help you too.
This week my plan was to bring you a video from London, but I nearly missed my train so you have a hybrid video this week.
The hustle and bustle of London and the calm of Sidmouth 💚
This week my ideas are
💚 Big Trip
💛 The Longest Day
💚 Glastonbury
💛 Dog to Work Week
💚 Creating Video
What are you going to talk about on your LinkedIn Content this week?
Come on, give it a go and let's see some more videos.
You've got this

Previous Week
I only had 1,032 impressions, so down even more again. 31 reactions lower than last week but 72 comments which is an increase. 0 Repost. Views of the video were also down. 343 views, watched by 315 viewers with 178.5 minutes viewed.
This week my video started in London and then finished on the beach! It was a very shaky camera as I was walking fast. Did that put people off?
I had 1,144 impressions a little increase. 28 reactions lower than last weekend a very low 23 comments 0 Repost. Views of the video were also down. 344 views, watched by 309 viewers with 108.5 minutes viewed.
I need to be Stephen Speilberg this week with my video eh?

Following the re-decorating of my shed, I thought that I would see what people thought should go in my blank space. I actually wrote this before leaving for my holiday, so I was in the car for a while and then lost internet access at 5:00 pm for four days.
It is important to interact with your posts within the first 90 minutes.
If someone comments, then make sure that you comment back. This creates more traffic to your content, and LinkedIn will share it further. There is no point in creating content if you are not going to be present, so if you have a school run and a commute, wait until you are back, when you’re able to interact.
Maybe 9:30 am would be better for you than creating content at 7:00 am
You’ll see this in a ction on Wednesday’s post. (See below)

Are you good at Interior Design?
Can you give me some ideas now that I have redecorated my shed, it's looking a bit sparse.
For the keen-eyed people who see my videos, you'll notice that my back wall is now "On Brand" Yellow, rather than the previous white as before.
I've removed all the guide dog photos and certificates and I now have a blank canvas to make the background more interesting and less busy.
But what should I put in the space?
💚 A shelf with a plant
💛 My Book
💚 A Quote
💛 A photo
💚 An "On-Air" Illuminated sign
💛 What about a clock or multiple time zone clocks?
I know you'll have some great ideas, so come on, let's have some fun.
Please share photos of your back walls for inspiration too.
This was inspired by my recent livestream with Brad Burton who has a great background.
What backgrounds do you love?

Because I wanted to schedule posts so that I have content for my weekly blog, I chose this one for Tracy to help her get some publicity.
Tracy knew that I was doing this, so she was the one who took over with the comments, which helped it get over my 1,000 daily impression target.
I was without the internet, enjoying my mini break.
Hopefully, Tracy will get a few more book sales!

Would you like a free book?
My lovely friend Tracy Irwin has a new book coming out soon. YAY 🥳

Because I haven’t talked about my book much, my next scheduled post was my book. It did surprisingly well, considering that I was not there to interact with it. Imagine how well it would have done if I’d been here.
Looking at the comments, it is my friends who have made comments which have helped it gain more reach.
I have only sold two books this week, so I guess it did some good, but not all 1,000 people who have seen it have made a purchase.
I’m not a big fan of selling this blatantly on LinkedIn, and this proves that people don’t, eh?
But we do need to let people know what we do!
What do you think?

Do you look at a blank screen when trying to write a post and scratch your head?
Did I mention that I've written a book?
This book has some lovely reviews on Amazon.
💚 "What a great little resource to pick up, it's full of golden nugget ideas to post about." 💛
💚 "This book is incredibly practical, useful, packed full of ideas. It's going to be a go-to resource for me. " 💛
💚 "Designed for LinkedIn but great ideas for blog posts too." 💛
There's more there too. Go and have a look.
I wrote the book to be a great resource to help you to create content and be one of the 1% who create content.
It's only £8.99 but will help you with creating content for LinkedIn and other social sites too.
Go and grab a copy and get creative!!

FRIDAY 23 June 498 impressions
Friday is always my gratitude post. But as I was not around to propel it, this post bombed. I also normally tag a few people to thank them for making my week special.
This is my opportunity to give someone a mention and help them get known by more people.
I get many messages about my Gratitude Post on a Friday, so I didn't want to miss it just because I wasn’t here.

What are you Grateful for?
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
Do you ever stop to reflect, and remind yourself how lucky you are?
Every Friday I like to share my gratitude as a way to say thanks to everyone who has made my week brilliant. I also hope to inspire you to do the same.
What are YOUR highlights for this week? How did it go?
Who or what has impacted your week?
And if I have this Scheduling thing correct you'll be seeing this as I disembark from a cheeky little break.
💚 So therefore I am grateful that I am able to get away
💛 I was able to spend time with Debbie
💚 I didn't do social media
💛 I may have eaten a bit too much
💚 I may have had a beer
💛 And I may have recorded a little bit of content 😂
And we have a gig next week in Cullompton at The Weary Traveller
What are you grateful for?
Come on, you know you have something.
Please share your week with us.

What are my thoughts on this week?
As I was expecting, a very poor week on LinkedIn because I was not here to create content, so the posts were scheduled. But more importantly, I was not around to comment back and interact with the posts. I am due another break later in the year, and I’ll not do anything and take a full break. No scheduling.
I’ll be able to compare how quickly my stats bounce back.
My content this week needs to be helpful and engaging, so watch this space and let’s see how I fair.
If you want a hand with creating content, I have my LinkedIn Drop-in Surgery on Monday, 3 July.
More info here https://15mins.day/surgery-july
Here is the breakdown.
Last week I had 22,711 Impressions and 769 engagements (This was due to the Digital Accountancy Show.

This week, as expected, it has cracked, but not as bad as I was thinking. My 18,678 impressions are more than the previous week! I also had 464 engagements.

Here are my six best performing posts this week. Interesting that my post from the previous week has had more engagement than my posts from this week!

If you want a hand with your content, please get in touch, and sign up for my weekly email that gives five new content ideas each week. I call it the Monday Nudge. Sign up here https://15mins.day/nudge
