NEW WEEK Commencing 22 July
My Weekly Blog: What Do I Do with Content each Week?
Each, I take a look at my content from the previous week, unraveling the stories behind my creative process. It's a chance for you to peer into the intricate workings of my mind and witness how I create content.
As always, I'm excited to share my analytics, offering you an invaluable opportunity to add value to your own content strategy.
Within this week's blog, I present a comprehensive overview of my content lineup, unveiling the underlying purpose and intention that guided each post.
Furthermore, I conduct a thorough analysis of the performance metrics. By sharing these insightful analytics, get to see the levels of engagement, reach, and impact that each piece has achieved.
Do you review your own content?
Views; Previous Week As suspected I am down this week because I have been helping to get the wedding all sorted. Down by 23% means my views are only 2,174 and only 128 people looking this week. Down a fair bit, which is down to less activity!

Views This Week
My views have been pretty similar with 2,156 people viewing my profile in the last 90 days. I did have more people looking at my profile this week though with 154 people looking this week. Down by just 9%, again little activity.

Followers
In previous Week 7,849 which is another increase of 39 followers
This Week - 7,874 which is another increase of 25 followers again, not many, but no less activity.
438 Search appearances for the previous week! 351 searches this week, so down which reflects my activity on LinkedIn this week.

Hashtag Follows Last Week 164
Hashtag Follows This Week 165 up 1, so I’m moving.

I have a social media workshop coming up in September so wanted to start talking about it here on LinkedIn. I also want an idea of what I should charge so I was hoping for a hand with my audience to see what other people thought.
I used Canva to create the image, but didn’t get that much engagement with this post.

Do you go to knowledge and training workshops In-Real-Life?
Or do you prefer an online/zoom type training course to get to know more about a particular topic?
Exciting News. I'm working with the super lovely Becky Craven to bring an in-person Social Media day to Exeter in September.
More details to follow, but we're interested to understand what people would really want and what should we charge?
This is what you'll get
💚 Two knowledgeable Social Media Experts
💛 Refreshments and lunch
💚 Breakout sessions for networking and collaboration
💛 Results on the day
💚 Workbook packed full of actionable items
💛 Loads of hands-on help
💚 Confidence to promote your business or personal brand
We'll obviously be talking Instagram and LinkedIn plus three other topics to give you 5 sessions in one day.
Here's your chance to shape the workshop and give us an idea of what you'd be willing to pay.
What do you want to see?
Will you come?
What would you pay?
Thank you for helping and we cannot wait to launch this very soon!!

I am dead worried about getting my account suspended and I hear all kinds of stories, so my post today was to warn people about this area that none of us really know about.
No need for an image. Just words and a good hook! I’ve written another post that I call JAIL. You can read it here https://15mins.day/jail
It got great engagement!
Here’s today’s post
Has your LinkedIn Account ever been suspended?
Did you know that even multiple tabs in your browser could set a red flag against your account that could result in a suspension?
If you are like me and use LinkedIn for networking, learning new stuff, amplifying your brand and growing your business with new leads and prospects, then the thought of this incredible lifeline being cut off will fill you with dread.
So what can we do to avoid suspension?
I read a recent post from the lovely Deanna Russo where she told us about her suspension.
Here are her main points from a conversation that she had with an Executive Escalations Case Manager from LinkedIn.
💚 LinkedIn was not exactly sure why her account was restricted.
💛 Be mindful of how many people you invite to your events at once
💚 Do not have multiple LinkedIn windows open at once
💛 LinkedIn is super cautious about extensions and plugins
The first point is a worry if they are not sure, but with multiple red flags, I guess you will be on the radar more. So minimise the other activities in her list.
When inviting people to events, do not just invite everybody and maybe if you want to invite a few people, do it in batches. If you sit there multiple clicking then LinkedIn may see this as an automation tool, or some sort of extension.
If you have multiple tabs open in your browser, this could look like another scraping tool, so make sure you close down your tabs when you're done browsing a profile.
Finally, under the terms and conditions of LinkedIn, that you agreed with when you set it up, it says no add-ons or automation tools. Be wary of using any such app.
Did you know this?
Do you have any experience of suspension that you could share to help others?
This is pretty much common sense, but then again, Deanna has highlighted some items that I had never thought of, so Thank you for sharing Deanna 🙏

Monday is always the video. I had such a busy weekend that I couldn’t record the video on the beach, because I had my Hawaiian shirt on I recorded it in the garden. It got great engagement because of what I was wearing. Who knew?

What Content Will You Create this week? Here are some ideas for you.
Do you get stuck with creating content? Don't worry, I've got your back with five different topics that you can talk about on LinkedIn.
Watch the video for more ideas, or check out my article that I'll publish later today.
Content is everywhere but where do you start?
💚 Start with a hook.
💛 Get your readers to want to read your content.
💚 Make them curious.
Add value early on in your post and make sure you ask questions to keep them engaged.
Give them a call to action.
This isn't a sales pitch, but ask them an opinion or come back with an answer to your thoughts.
When this is all published, make sure that you pop back to answer any questions and comment back to everyone who has taken the time to respond.
You get out what you put in.
You've got this.
If you want a hand with your content, or LinkedIn then why not come to my FREE LinkedIn Drop-in Surgery? 1st Monday of every month. PLUS I am launching an exciting new social media summit soon.
Or just drop me a DM.
Have a fantastic week, and if you've got this far and wondering how the wedding went, it was incredible....

With our Workshop happening in September today was the big launch so I found an awesome photo of when Becky and I were together.
I started it with a hook that would get people thinking about what big things they have done, rather than shouting about the event.
Obviously, I talked about the event too! We got a load of engagement, but no tickets sold just yet. We are also planning a load of other marketing activities to make this even more exciting and compelling.
How do you market your events?

Do you ever bite off more than you can chew?
Or do you have a strong belief that you can do anything?
What with the wedding this weekend I now feel I can do anything 😂 especially as we had rain all-day
I am so excited to announce a new partnership!! 🥳
It’s okay, we're not getting married, but OMG we are doing something that is not only going to be fun. 🥳
It’s gonna be
💚 Entertaining
💛 Educational
💚 Motivational
💛 Friendly
💚 Confidence Building
💛 Eye Opening
💚 Mic Drop Happening
I am working with the delightful Becky Craven to bring to you our brand-new Social Media Summit
We’ll be spending the day helping you to get a better understanding and confidence to smash it with your photos and videos, your LinkedIn and Instagram and even going into podcasting and live streaming.
We’ll be finishing off the day with a detailed session on networking.
Fully Hands-on so you'll be leaving with loads of ideas and some finished tasks too to ensure that your online presence shines.
The day will include lunch, refreshments and plenty of opportunities for collaboration and networking and we’ll be done by 3:00 pm (we’ll be staying on later if you fancy picking our brains or doing a bit of networking.)
All based in Exeter at the brilliant Exeter Hall at Stepcote Hill on 26 September 2023 from 10:00am.
Our super early bird ticket (Until the end of July) is just £55.00.
Want to know more? Just send me a DM or drop a comment.
We are going LIVE today at 2:00pm to tell you more and answer any questions.
What have you done that was too much to chew?

WEDNESDAY 26 July 2,456 impressions
I was chatting to one of my clients about creating videos and he was saying that he didn't like the sound Of his own voice. So I suggested that maybe somebody like Joe Pasquale who has a very distinctive voice maybe he didn't like the sound of his own voice
Joe has made millions and therefore it got me thinking about a post and how to help other people think about their own voices because we have things like regional accents and speech impediments or maybe we say things differently to other people which makes us self-conscious.
By highlighting Joe Pasquale and all the millions that he's made in his fame just brings it all back that maybe nobody cares about what we sound like and therefore we can overcome our fears so that was my post today.

Is the sound of your voice stopping you from creating videos?
Stop your self-doubt and please make those videos because we love how you sound.
With my coaching and LinkedIn training, I have heard pretty much every excuse under the sun for why people do not create videos.
We all know that we need to do videos, but we find an excuse and don't bother. 🤦♂️
We wish that we could, but stop because we are paralysed by fear.😱
Do you hate the sound of your voice?
Stop worrying and own it.
You may have a strong regional accent, say some words differently or even a squeaky voice but nobody cares.
You may think you sound awful, but what do we think?
Even if your accent is really broad, with subtitles, we can still enjoy your videos
Have you heard of Joe Pasquale? He's a British comedian with a squeaky voice. That's him in the photo.
Joe's TV career soared after he appeared on 'New Faces' in 1987. ( The "Britains Got Talent" of its day) In 2004, he became the 'King Of The Jungle' on 'I'm a Celebrity' and he's also hosted the ITV series 'The Price Is Right.'
His voice is super squeaky.
But doing some research online this morning he's reputedly worth $5M so I guess we actually love the sound of his voice.
I wonder if he ever thought about how his voice sounded.
We all think we look different, sound different or even smell different, but at the end of the day it's only our opinion.
Stop worrying about what you think and just get on with it.
What tips have you got to stop us worrying?
What is your favourite regional accent?

If you have been following me for a while you'll know that my daughter got married on the 22nd of July. I've been talking about it for a while and it was a very special moment not just for me but for the family for my daughter for my wife.
I wanted to share this special moment with everybody else and the photographer took an amazing photo of me dancing with my daughter. (just writing this note is bringing it all back and making me choke up)
I wanted to share this because it was a very very proud moment and therefore I wanted to know what your proud moment was this has got to be a very special moment for any father of girls.
I started off by asking what was your proudest moment because we all have private moments of Pride in our lives, this was one of mine.
This post got great engagement and it's still getting great engagement a week later. Do you have any moments in your life that you've been especially proud of why not share yours with us

What is your Proudest Moment?
Passing exams? When you got your first job? Setting up your first business?
What about walking your daughter down the aisle at her wedding?
I've had some amazing moments of pride in my life, but to see your daughter looking radiant on her wedding day is a really special moment.
This shot was the Daddy-Daughter dance at Megan and Rory's wedding this weekend.
You can see how proud I was. And yes, those are happy tears in my eyes.
It rained all day, but we didn't let that spoil the proceedings. In fact, the rain added to the event as it made everyone unite to have the best party ever.
Megan looked a picture. Rory Looked Handsome in his military uniform and his Marine Commando friends did a guard of honour.
With the rain, the marquee wasn't too hot and everybody stayed inside which meant an incredible atmosphere.
Thank you to everyone for all your lovely messages on Saturday. It was incredible and managed to almost hold it together for the Father of The Bride's speech.
So come on then, what is your proudest moment?

FRIDAY 28 July 3,158 impressions
Fridays are always Fridays and that is the day that I shout out all the wonderful people that made a part in my life for that week and share my gratitude. It is so important to share gratitude and to be grateful for all the amazing things that we've got. This week without any exception here’s my post on gratitude. When are you going to do a post about gratitude?

It's Friday so I want to know.. What are you Grateful For?
Did you get a parking space each day this week? Or did someone you've just met give you some great advice or a hand?
Every Friday I like to reflect on the week and share my gratitude.
It's part of what keeps me happy and motivated. It may be nothing, but if we look at the positives, we become happier. Honest.
⭐️ 🥳 🙏 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐒. 🙏 🥳 ⭐️
Who are you going to thank?
This week has started with the wedding of our daughter so first off is a big thanks to my lovely wife, Debbie. We'd have never had a lovely wedding if she hadn't sacrificed her career to be an awesome mum. She's a jolly incredible wife too. Thank you Debs ❤️ 🙏. I love you so much.
Mary Wu was awesome on my Live Show this week (and now podcast) where we talked about our passion which is LinkedIn. So many nuggets in the show. But even more impressive is that Mary was up at 6:00am in the US to be live at our lunchtime. Thank you Mary, you are a superstar ❤️ 🙏
Who'd have thought that I would be getting advice on marketing from an accountant? But jump out of the shadows Tracy Irwin. Thank you for coming on my show, and also giving me some advice about our upcoming Social Media Workshop. You are an awesome coach. Thank you ❤️ 🙏
Finally Thank you to all the awesome people who came to the LinkedIn Local. Obviously the delightful Odessa Sherreard for her little chat about content, but also to Peter Antenen for his advice on my next steps. We also had a few other newbies join us too. We'll be back in September!
And for anyone else who has been awesome this week. Have a great weekend.
So come on then, who has impacted your week?

What are my thoughts on this week?
This week has been a much improved week on content in LinkedIn and this is all due to the fact that I have been doing more on LinkedIn this week
💚 I have been commenting more
💛 I have been going back into my posts more
💚 I have been sending more direct messages on LinkedIn
It is all about consistency and it is all about showing up regularly every single day this can just be 15 minutes a day or it can be a little bit longer. It really doesn't matter as long as you'd get this consistency then you will grow on LinkedIn as you can see that I have done this week.
What can you do to be more consistent with your social media?
Here is the breakdown.
Last week I dropped because I wasn't around due to the wedding. .Impressions are down by 20% to 16,206 and Engagements are up this week by 1% to 734

This week has seen a turn of the tide. Funny what happens when you spend time online eh? Impressions are up by 22% to 21,369 and Engagements are up this week by a brilliant 25% to 970. That’s pretty much down to my Proud daddy post eh?

Here are my Five best-performing posts this week.
